The list item menu, also referred to as the Edit Control Button (ECB), and the link to the item appear for only some of the field types. There is no way in the browser to change it so that the menu and link appear on another field. However, you can make that change by using SharePoint Designer 2010. The Hide from Browser functionality is available through SharePoint Designer 2010. It lets you hide the navigation link for a list/library from the browser. Views on lists and libraries are like views on tables in databases such as Microsoft Access, SQL and Oracle. After storing the content in the list (or table), you can decide how to setup the view to show that content. The datasheet view provides an Excel/Access type of spreadsheet view which you can use to modify list or library data. You can use this view to quickly modify items or copy and paste items in the list/library. Lookup column is a very powerful type of column that can be used in any list or library to get information from another list or library on the site.
